ACMI’s Leadership Roundtables enable senior professionals from organization partners to meet with fellow professionals across their individual industries as well as the capital markets ecosystem to engage in open discussions, share ideas, discuss challenges and showcase best practices to promote professionalism, efficiency and innovation in the best interest of capital markets integrity in a setting often conducted under the Chatham House Rule (ie, information may be used, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speakers, nor that of any other participant, may be revealed).
ACMI’s Leadership Roundtables will provide parallel single industry and multistakeholder platforms to enable senior professionals and their organizations to play an active role on a global, regional and/or country basis to:
develop recommendations, including industry guidance, to promote best market practices on professionalism to positively impact the wider capital markets and individual businesses, including providing insights on reasonable internal controls, professional judgment and determinations of materiality in relation to due diligence and disclosure and avoiding insider trading situations
consider and draft policy responses to regulators who regularly conduct market consultation and be part of a balanced and experienced voice that delivers powerful, respected messages to regulators and policymakers to contribute to the future structure and development of the capital markets in Asia and globally. Examples of current relevant regulatory consultations relating to the capital markets can be found here.
shape development of best practices and standardization of certain capital markets processes, documentation and practices to enhance efficiency and reduce transactional costs for all key stakeholders
promote innovation to responsibly “grow the pie” to benefit all key stakeholders in the capital markets who seek capital formation, allocation and investment
