To breathe life into the spirit of the new and existing rules and codes of conduct that are so critical to the return of trust and confidence in capital markets integrity and transparency:
ASIA CAPITAL MARKETS INSTITUTE (ACMI) was formed as an industry-wide capital markets educational initiative that promotes professionalism, efficiency and innovation for excellence in client service and in the long-term best interests of corporate issuers and capital markets integrity.
As an inclusive multi-stakeholder collaborative platform, ACMI seeks to serve:
listed company corporate disclosure professionals such as executive and non-executive directors, officers and senior management such as CEOs, CFOs, corporate secretaries and general counsel who are ultimately responsible for ensuring the timely disclosure of material price sensitive information to investors;
financial services intermediaries and specialist service providers such as sponsor or lead manager investment banks and securities firms, lawyers, accountants, internal control consultants, forensic investigators, asset valuers and rating agencies on whom listed companies rely for advice and guidance;
buyside investors (asset owners and managers) and enterprise owners (including state and family-owned and private company promoters) to ensure and improve the quality of disclosure and corporate governance on which market integrity and efficiency depends; and
securities regulators and stock exchanges who oversee market integrity.
